"The Project" is an initiative developed by two musicians for the purpose of composing and performing original music in a duo format as well as other forms of instrumentation. "The Project" also acts as a booking agent for groups formed in connection with "The Project" or elsewhere. In addition to this "The Project" serves as a promotional tool for various artforms (Multi-Media, Video, Photography, Painting, and Animation) all of which may be incorporated into the composition and performance of "The Project". Jamison Odling
Jamison Odling is a professional musician and teacher living and working in the Montreal area. He is currently composing, recording and performing with "The Project" as well as other groups (see Jamison Odling page). Jamison is available for recording, live performance and workshops as a freelance musician and also for private and group lessons. Jamison holds a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance) from McGill University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa.(for more information see the Jamison Odling Page)
Michel Gauthier
Michel Gauthier is a professional musician and teacher living in the Montreal area. He performs in many different musical styles ranging from Renaissance and Bach to avant-garde jazz. He is currently performing, composing, and recording with "The Project" and a number of other ensembles including, "The Solar Jazz Trio", "The Michel Gauthier Quartet", and "The Michel Gauthier Piano and Bass Duo" (see Michel Gauthier Page). He is also an organist, choir conductor, and director of music at Mount-Royal United Church. He has been teaching music (K-6) at Collége Beaubois for fifteen years.
